En Coursera strives to provide high-quality educational content and services. This refund policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted for course purchases.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all course purchases. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date, provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course content.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Request must be made within 14 calendar days of purchase
  • No more than 20% of course modules have been accessed
  • No course completion certificates have been issued
  • Account must be in good standing (no violations of terms)

3. Refund Request Process

To request a refund:

  1. Email [email protected] with subject "Refund Request"
  2. Include your order number and purchase date
  3. Briefly explain the reason for your refund request (optional but helpful)
  4. Allow 3-5 business days for processing

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days after approval.

4. Exceptions to Refund Policy

Refunds will NOT be granted in the following circumstances:

  • More than 14 days have passed since purchase
  • More than 20% of course content has been accessed
  • Course completion certificate has been issued
  • Account has been suspended or terminated for policy violations
  • Purchase was made using promotional codes or discounts (may receive partial refund)
  • Technical issues that were not reported to support within reasonable timeframe

5. Technical Issues

If you experience technical problems preventing course access:

  • We will work to resolve issues promptly
  • If issues cannot be resolved, refunds may be granted regardless of time elapsed
  • The 14-day period may be extended if technical issues persist

6. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be considered in special circumstances:

  • Course purchases made with promotional discounts
  • Bundle purchases where only some courses are unsatisfactory
  • Situations involving extenuating personal circumstances

Partial refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and are at our sole discretion.

7. Bundle Purchases

For Complete English Learning Bundle purchases:

  • Full refund available within 14 days if less than 20% of any included course accessed
  • Partial refunds may be considered if only one course component is unsatisfactory
  • Bundle discounts will be accounted for in partial refund calculations

8. Subscription Cancellations

While our current courses are one-time purchases, if subscription services are introduced:

  • Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • No charges after cancellation is processed

9. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Loss of access to all purchased content
  • Possible reporting to fraud prevention services

10. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-14 business days

Processing times depend on your financial institution and payment method.

11. Course Access After Refund

Upon refund approval:

  • Access to course materials is immediately revoked
  • Downloaded materials must be deleted
  • Course progress is not saved for future re-enrollment
  • Re-purchasing requires full payment of current price

12. Non-Monetary Remedies

Before requesting a refund, consider alternative solutions:

  • Extending access period for special circumstances
  • Switching to a different course more suited to your level
  • Additional support or supplementary materials
  • One-on-one guidance on course navigation

14. Promotional Offers

Purchases made with promotional codes:

  • Are eligible for refunds under standard policy
  • Refund amount is the actual amount paid, not original price

In events beyond our control (natural disasters, technical failures, legal changes):

  • We will make reasonable efforts to maintain service
